Who is Bianca Durcau-Vaida

I am an undergraduate Information Systems and Interaction Designer, in the process of completing my fourth year of studying. I enjoy combining skills across traditional design mediums and modern technological advancements. I have developed both my analog and rendering skills in addition to creating professional websites, interactive experiences and researched various topics within UX and UI.

I am always excited when a new opportunity arises as I thoroughly enjoy learning different mediums, software’s, and tools in addition to collaborating with others to expand the possibilities of the proejct.

I have undergone courses of creative coding, critical experience design, rapid web application development, tangible media, and many more enlightening and intellectually stimulating classes.  I am currently within a course that is focusing on VR and AR interactions, and I have partaken in many workshops where laser cutters and other tools were used to create high and low fidelity prototypes.

My Skills

My skills range from technical skills and personal skills. My technical skills consist of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, InDesign, WordPress, Canva, p5js, Figma and additional UX/UI designing tools and methods. My personal skills are my high work standard, my team player mentality, my skills in presenting information, my punctuality, and my desire to continuously grow in my skill set. These skills accompanied by my business process modelling and understanding of information systems equips me with the skills to present a professional, levelheaded solution to problems, and engaging brainstorming sessions during group discussions.

My Future Goals

In the future, I would like to develop useful, refined, modern designs. I would like my skills to enable me to tackle any and all problems with a professional and stylish approach. I enjoy creating content that connects with people, clearly communicating the desired intent. I would like my designs to push beyond all barriers, combining the power of technology with the elegance of design.

My Interests

In my free time I enjoy keeping up with developments within the artistic community, learning about new editing techniques, helping out friends and family with small projects and seeing what’s new around the world through social media. I like to learn about new creative outlets available and capturing real life moments with loved ones. I enjoy going on day trips with friends, taking spontaneous beach trips, eating great food, and drinking bubble tea.
