QUT Reality Labs
QUT Reality Labs is a student-run club at QUT that explores the opportunities within XR, AR, and VR, celebrating and connecting like-minded individuals from various clubs, disciplines, and skill levels.
My time at reality labs allowed me to not only create content to advertise the networking and social events held by the organization, but it enabled me to alter the look of images to fit their theme and maintain the image they’ve created.
My Role
Within QUT Reality Labs I was an Executive Graphics designer, however, I also assisted in setting up events, speaking with sponsors, and welcoming guests to the exhibitions and networking events held.
Whilst producing the graphics, my main role was to use the club’s graphics style and replicated it across all the social media posts. This ranged from Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn posts in addition to stories. The key skill I brought into Reality Labs was my extensive knowledge of Canva, I utilized animations within the Instagram stories to increase user interest in posts which was quickly accepted and liked by fellow colleagues.
My Work
Some of the major events I have created graphics for consist of an Exhibition night and Networking events where I was required to not only maintain the club’s styling but also follow protocols for sponsor logos.
